This event has been a annual fun time for fellowship and holiday fun.
Christmas Holiday Charity, without a valid general membership meeting to decide on club business options, the board has taken the option to continue to support the community through the current club charity for the following calendar year 2015, which is Chicken Soup Brigade and Lifelong Seattle. We typically support our charity this time of year with a children's gift tree, that was not a option this year due to the lack of volunteers for support the event. So to continue to support the community in this fashion, we are asking that members bring new unwrapped gifts/toys to the holiday meal or to a gift donation box set up at our home bar The Cuff Complex (as they have done in the past), these items will be collected and taken to Lifelong for their use during the holiday season. Also in addition to individual gift donations, the club has decided to use the December Coat Check Hosting funds collected (we host Dec 6th) as a cash donation to the Lifelong/Chicken Soup Brigade. To further your charitable options there will be a cash donation container at the holiday dinner event for those not at the location during the coat check hosting opportunity, our collective and individual charity only supports and strengthens our community.
There is also a board of directors meeting prior to the meal set up starting at 3:30 pm, it is always open to any member of the club, this may be the last board meeting for the near future, as there is a lack of volunteers for supporting the Northwest Bears Club for the coming year.
This is a very busy evening for the club board and members, with lots of things happening, timeliness is much appreciated. Lets have a great crowd, good meal, fun fellowship, and kick off the holiday season with a big bear event!!!!!!
NWBears Hosted Sunday Cuff BBQ on 9/21
A big thank you to Scott, Walt, Adam, Mike, Jonathan, Bobby and Dwayne from the time you arrived thru the end, you all did a great job at the NWB fund raiser BBQ. And of course the excellent support of The Cuff staff supporting our oppotunity to be hosts. We had master grilling, money changing, order prep, and sides and fixings with smiles, and of course the disco-a-go-go bears keeping things fun behind the serving tables :-) Thank you for the support and help, you made the 4 hours go quickly. Hugs Steve NWBears President
